Volkswagen T2 Pritsche 1979

Volkswagen T2 Pritsche 1979

1967 saw the beginning of a new era, with the second generation of the successor to the T1 Bulli Transporter leaving the factory. The windscreen was no longer split in two, the car was extended by 100 mm, and the 1.6-litre engine power increased to 47 hp. A year later, in 1968, the two-millionth Transporter solemnly rolled off the production line. It was a success that no other car of this class could boast of. In 1971, another record was reached in the production of commercial vehicles: the 3-millionth Transporter came off the line. In 1977 the total production of Transporters exceeded 4.5 million units. Our copy comes from May 1979, which is the end of T2 series production.

A version of the Volkswagen T2 Pritsche appeared on the operating table of our clinic – and it is the most sought after version amongst collectors. The patient will undergo comprehensive resuscitation in our clinic. The effects and progress of the work can be admired on the following photos.
